Sophomore Nikko Villarreal of Gilroy was voted Champion of Champions when he became the first ever Californian to defeat 3-time CA State Champion Alex Cisneros of Selma 5-3 in the 132 pound weight class. Villarreal had lost to Cisneros twice this season, but pulled off a spectacular throw in the final 10 seconds to score 5 points and deny Cisneros his fourth state title. Villarreal also became the first non-Senior to win this prestigious award.
